Enjoy spending time with family and friends in this open concept home with spectacular bay views. Perfect home for two families as it offers two primary suites with king beds, attached baths and ocean views, as well as two guest bedrooms with two twin beds each.
Large deck with table, chairs and loungers, small gas BBQ and outdoor hot and cold shower. Use of a ladder that hangs on the sea wall is used to access the beach, or you can walk down to the beach access stairs.
Every attempt has been made to make sure this home is comfortable and well supplied with everything you need to relax and leave the outside world behind.

Spend your evenings around a beach bon-fire, making smores and listening to the waves crash.

  This was a very easy vacation. The house was stocked better than expected and all of the appliances all worked well.
  The Cheshire Rio staff made every step of the process easy. They were friendly knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with.

  We had to purchase a $300.00 Tempur-pedic mattress topper because the bed was so hard. We left it as it did not fit in our car. (Hopefully you continue to use it). We had 3 issues with people coming on the sea wall/deck late at night. First time in all the years staying here, that this has happened. We did not feel safe. There is no security for homeowners/renters. Sheriffs dept. does not come out when called.
  We have loved staying here for over 25 years. COVID stopped us from staying the last couple of years. We always come a couple times a year and stay at least 2 weeks. We respect the home as if it was ours.
  Safety is a huge concern. Being woken up in the middle of the night by 5 guys sitting on your deck and running up and down the wall is concerning. Hopefully you will address our concerns.

  What this house lacks in charm in redeemed by its location. Couldn't get closer to the ocean with plate glass window views and sound of waves all night long. Enjoyed watching schools of dolphin leaping in the waves. The house is very well-equipped (the kitchen was packed, needs to be gone through and its redundant items eliminated, seriously 6 coffee makers?), The home is immaculate and well-maintained, however, its decor and fixtures are like traveling back to the early 70's. Needs a major overall renovation/redecorating. Also there were issues around bedding/towels (bring your own sheets and/or rent at additional charge). Be aware that direct access to the beach is down a sturdy 8-rung ladder that rolls over the seawall to the sand. The huge trex oceanfront deck was a great play area for our 2-year-old granddaughter, and the fireplace (insert with remote) was cozy in the cool mornings and evenings. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

  There is nothing better than spending a week right on the beach! We lived on the expansive deck gazing out at the ocean. We saw dolphins, seals and porpoises. We loved the ease of beach access; just dropping the ladder down for long walks on the beach, to play bocce ball, play in the waves and boogie board. We’ve now stayed in six different homes on Via Gaviota and this one is our favorite! The view from the main living space is incomparable; you can see the entire bay, both north and south. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need (though Door-Dash or take out at Aptos St. BBQ are great options when you don’t want to cook). The layout with two separate masters and two rooms with twin beds is great. We left the house to hike at nearby Nisene Marks State Park one day to realize that it didn’t get much better than just being at the ocean.
