    The house was nice and clean and the views were fantastic. My group was in town for a wedding and we were happy to have the extra space.

    Only complaint that some little things like soap, shampoo, salt/ pepper would have been a nice touch. I don’t recall needing blankets for the sofa area but with those cool ocean I could see them getting used. The chairs in the shed were a nice touch for the short walk to the beach.

    Overall it was a great time and very enjoyable.

    Our family has rented from Cheshire realty for the last 50 years. We’ve stayed in various houses up and down the Rio Del Mar area but definitely prefer the private beach. It’s always less crowded and quieter on the private beach. We were alarmed when they said the only approach to the beach was way down at the end of the street but had easy access in between the front houses. Hate that there were fire works going off at odd times at night. The damage from the previous storm seemed to clean up really well. The prices have gone up but the house has pretty much stayed the same. Had a bit of an ant people but Cheshire addressed it quickly.

    This is the second year we stayed ate 623 Beach Dr. We absolutely love the location. It has everything we need except a washer/dryer. Beds are comfortable and we love the deck that overlooks the ocean.

    Had another wonderful week in Rio Del Mar. they’ve updated on house that we rent every year with fresh towels, new furniture, some new appliance’s and more efficiency. The weather was gorgeous and the birds and dolphins are back. The downfalls are not enough parking space, unreliable access to beach, the refrigerator needs to be updated, miss the gas stove but otherwise a nice stay for the price.

    It was easy to rent, easy to get into and easy to depart. The staff was helpful and responsive.

    The refrigerator should be replaced. It never got cold enough & the house notes said not to try to adjust the temperature.
    There were only 3 wine glasses and about 6 water glasses. For a home that sleeps 9 there should be more glassware.
    The addition of a washer & dryer is much needed.

    623 Beach was a good stay for a few days. I think for a longer stay it would be more suitable for a different house, but it was nice and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the drain in the sink on the bottom floor did not drain very well from hour one, but I let Cheshire know that.

    We have a great time here. It has been upgraded with a new couch, new oven and the bathrooms have been redone. Because of covid it is very clean with clean towels and beddings. We do not understand the no door on one of the rooms and beach access has been harder but over all it’s been a lovely experience.

    The property location was good, just walk to the end of the street and you’re in the sand. The bedrooms are big enough, the decor could use some updating, maybe add stuff to make it feel more beachy. The openness of the living room was great, the couch was huge, seating for everyone. The view was good. Overall it was good and I’d rent this house again. Cheaper than other houses on the block

    My wife's family rented this house many times from 1995 to 2005, for their annual (large) family reunion, all attended by our young children. So when I decided to start a new summer beach house tradition for my adult kids and their relatives, I felt we simply HAD to rent 623 Beach Dr, given the many memories it has given us.

    The interior furnishings and decorations have been updated, but it still provides good space and comfort.

    The worst change was that the small/single 5th bedroom lacks a door. It used to have a door, and we were counting on that when we assigned my daughter's mother-in-law to that room. They should put a door back in.

    I accidentally left behind a NoricWare 9x12 herringbone-patterned bake sheet. It would be nice if there were some way to get that back, but it's not worth a round-trip from Half Moon Bay solely for that purpose.

    Too bad the neighbors who now own that formerly-empty-but-now-being-converted-into-a-patio lot are denying its use to reach the beach. But at least the approved route to/from beach is also nearby.

    We had to replace a living room lamp's lightbulb. T here were no spare bulbs provided, so we had to purchase one.

    The Weber grill is filthy and the grates are getting old. Ditto for drip pan and grill brush: they whole lot should be replaced with new.
