Enjoy everything Santa Cruz and Monterey bay has to offer in this centrally located, spacious 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath three level home, approx. 2700 square feet. Walking distance to restaurants, deli, coffee and market. This home is simply furnished, but very comfortable and offers amazing views from almost every room. Located across the street from one of the largest beaches in Santa Cruz County. Walk for miles along the sand while watching the sea life play. Great for surf fishing, boogie boarding and of course sun bathing.
This large home offers an updated kitchen, tile floors on entry and second floor. Flat screen TV's. Two ocean view bedrooms on the third floor. The first level has a two car carport that leads directly to the entrance to home. Second floor has a bright living room, dining room, kitchen, and deck access. Also a half bath and laundry room, The back yard is for emergency exit only. Third floor boast a primary bedroom wrapped in windows with a king bed and attached bath with stall shower and of course a beautiful ocean views. Second room also has ocean views with a queen bed. Third room has a king bed and faces the backyard, the fourth room has 2 sets of twin bunks, and a full bath with separate tub and shower also located on this floor.
Walk to restaurants, deli, coffee and market in just a few min.

  This is the 3rd year we've stayed in this house. Very appreciative that it is dog-friendly and also accommodates large families easily! The refrigerator seems to be on its last legs. There's even a note in your welcome package not to turn down the temperature because it won't freeze. We had ice cream that was basically liquid. The backyard area is in bad shape and needs to be cleaned up. There was clearly a small landslide a while ago (because there are plants growing in the new sand/soil) but it hasn't been tended to. The front door hardware is rusted and the door stays open if you don't purposefully shut it...a problem with dogs in the house. But overall, I'd still rent it again! Staff at Cheshire Rio were great as always and very responsive!

  Good Morning, we have stayed at this property in the past, nothing has been done to maintain the house. The carpets were very dirty. The drinking glasses provided were not sufficient. The pots and pans we used were very outdated. We had to supply trash bags, zip lock bags, tin foil, etc. It appears that the owners are planning on remodeling and the place is falling apart, especially for the amount they are receiving in rental fees. The sign outside that said they are planning on remodeling was there the last time we were there. We had no contact with the management company, but we were not expecting it.
  We were very discouraged that the owners did not provide basic cable as well.
  We would not decide to rent this location again. Also there are some items that the owners have not maintained that would present a danger to the occupants such as rebar sticking out in the driveway.

  We have rented this property several times before. Understanding the owners have received a permit to demolish it and would not want to do the regular maintenance, the property was not as clean or maintained as previously. We are very sorry to hear it will be demolished but will continue to visit our favorite beach in the future.

  Property was great location with a good floor plan (huge kitchen, good sized bedrooms and big family room). Surf was just right for the kids boogie boarding and the weather was great. Trips to the boardwalk,the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Aptos Street BBQ gave us a break from the perfect beach, weather and surf. Great week and Jane at Cheshire was a pleasure to deal with. Looking forward to next year!

  We enjoyed our stay at 379 Beach. Views are amazing! Wish it had more than 2 showers for 10 people, but the outdoor shower helps. Could definitely use some towel racks or hooks in the common bathroom. Well stocked.

  As mentioned when we checked out there were some shortcomings. The Bar b Que grill was replaced as requested, we could never get the dryer to work. The dishwasher is on its last legs.several kitchen items were broken or missing such as can opener, egg beater.

  We absolutely enjoyed our vacation on 379 Beach Drive! We shared the house with another family. There were 10 of us in total. Our teenage kids had a ball at the beach!! The kitchen was large, and the L shaped couch in the large family room was key, as was the large balcony!! At night our kids surrounded the big kitchen table playing card games! It was perfect!

  We rented this house for a week. Location is great. The living room furniture needs to be replaced as it is worn and dated. Kitchen is updated and nice. Bring your own spices, etc. Overall, the house has a nice floor plan and works for a family.

  This year we saw the beached dead whale which provided much discussion while they tried to remove him? Then we saw an awesome evening gathering on the water close to the beach of thousands of birds , really something spectaculR we had never seen before on any beach. Great deck for cocktails and backyard shower and front yard hose for the dog !

  Overall we had a really nice stay at this location. The kitchen is spacious and had most of the utensils, cookware, etc that were needed. Loved having a double oven. The layout of the house, bedrooms, deck and living area are all comfortable. The only negatives were the sizes of the master bath and other full bath are quite small. We also didn’t feel like the home had been cleaned very well and definitely needed paint and other minor repairs. We also had very small trash and recycling cans for a house with 10 people over a 2 week stay. Other than that we truly enjoyed the accommodations and the location was perfect.
