The first floor features a spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed (note: TV in the room currently out of order), a cozy family room with a wet bar (mini fridge temporarily out of order), a full bath, an elevator for handicap access, and a laundry room.

The second level showcases a large living area that opens to breathtaking views, an updated, fully-equipped kitchen, a formal dining room, and a convenient half bath. The third level is dedicated to relaxation, with four beautifully appointed bedrooms, including two with stunning full ocean views, and two full bathrooms.

Perfectly located, you'll be just a 35-minute drive from the iconic Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Capitola-by-the-Sea are just a short drive away, while local cafes, restaurants, and a deli are within walking distance.   This was our first time at 274 Beach Drive but our 30th year renting a site near 274 Beach Dr. Our move to this location was prompted by the 5 bedrooms and the elevator that allowed my parents, in their late 80's, to join us. Our favorite aspects of 274 Beach were the extra large kitchen, the spacious middle floor and the easy access to the sand and ocean. In our first experience we had some surprises, but Cheshire Rio was very responsive and helpful. In particular they made sure the elevator was in sound working order before we arrived. It made all the difference for our experience.

  Our vacation was great. The location is perfect for us & we had a good time.
  
  First Marley was terrific in helping us deal with several issues. However left undone were: Elevator not fixed, downstairs refrigerator not working, bathtub faucet leak was an issue, the outside not swept on arrival & the sliding doors were way too difficult to operate.

  We loved our stay at 274 is it has beautiful view views, and space for our family. This beach is one that we have come to for the past two years so having a nice place to enjoy it makes this trip even more special.
  
  The house needs a little updating with the bathrooms, especially as the downstairs sink has a spout too shallow to work and the drain didn’t work. The middle bathroom has a urine smell, and all bathrooms needed bath mats. Also, the dining chairs were wobbly and beat up.
  
  The house is loud, especially if you were staying in the bottom room— even the lightest footsteps in the kitchen sound thunderous if you were sleeping down there.
  
  However, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen spacious and pretty! We had a wonderful stay in our looking forward to coming again next year!

  The location cannot be beat. The unit itself has everything a family could need. It’s clean and nicely decorated.
  I’m in a wheelchair, unable to walk or stand, so the elevator was necessary to access the 3 floors. That said, the bathrooms weren’t set up w/ ADA in mind. I couldn’t access a shower and getting on/off the toilet was extremely tough. The angles to the toilets and the heights of them, plus the lack of arm bars, made it hard. In fairness, the unit isn’t advertised as ADA accessible..,

  Our stay was amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The house was great. The house was so roomy and the elevator made the trip possible. It’s hard to find places that accommodate my son’s wheelchair. From the balcony, we watched seals, dolphins, an otter and even saw a whale on our last day. We can’t wait to go back next year.

  The house was very clean and ready for occupancy. My major complaint was numerous burned out light bulbs and no spares provided. This may seem trivial, but trying to find something in the pantry with no light is difficult. Some extra bath towels would be great. One per person is really not enough. The ground level bathroom has a moldy smell. As we come annually July 4th week, parking is extra difficult. Being able to park a car in the garage would be wonderful.
  The above problems are relatively minor. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year.

  Such a great property. Cheshire was very accommodating to our needs. A few things to know..there are no screens on the sliders or windows. That makes a difference when you’d like to keep the windows open at night.... Bugs...and safety with children. Upstairs bedroom was infested with termites all along the floor by the slider. A few other minor things but Cheshire was quick to fix. Parking can be tricky. All in all...we would definitely stay again...beautiful inside and very clean

  My family has been coming to Aptos for many years. We look forward to it all year. The location of the houses on Beach Drive is fantastic. You step out the door, go down stone steps and you’re on the sand. The ocean is very close. We live in the valley and it’s always great to leave the valley and enjoy the cool beach weather. If one is inclined there are activities near by / hiking, fishing, visiting the Boardwalk, travel to the Monterey Aquarium, to name a few. There are excellent restaurants nearby with varied cuisines.

  AMAZING as usual. We have used Cheshire Rio for over 25 years and always been super pleased. House is perfect!! Knowing that all owners and property management love to hear how they can even improve for their guest... The patio is large and plenty of seating however 2 large umbrellas would help against the hot afternoon sun and since a garage is advertised it would be so nice to fit a small car inside. We tried.. Too much personal belongings which was very disappointing. Thank you so much.
