Friday-Friday summer reservations only, 7 night minimum during Thanksgiving, 4 night minimum other holidays and off-season, 3 night minimum during winter.

Enjoy life at its best in this beautiful beach front home. Lovely 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is the largest beach front home located on the first stretch of Beach Drive, known as “the island” and opens up to a large private patio with full ocean view. The 3 story home offers one bedroom with king, family room with wet bar, full bath, elevator for handicap use only. on the first floor, the 2nd level boast a large living area, full updated kitchen, formal dining and 1/2 bath. 3rd level has 4 bedrooms, two with full ocean views and 2 full bathrooms. Enjoy the Monterey aquarium, Pebble beach, Carmel by the Sea are only 35 minutes drive away. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Capitola by the Sea is just minutes away by car. The surrounding area also boast a number of incredible wineries. Handicap accessible.

  The location cannot be beat. The unit itself has everything a family could need. It’s clean and nicely decorated.
  I’m in a wheelchair, unable to walk or stand, so the elevator was necessary to access the 3 floors. That said, the bathrooms weren’t set up w/ ADA in mind. I couldn’t access a shower and getting on/off the toilet was extremely tough. The angles to the toilets and the heights of them, plus the lack of arm bars, made it hard. In fairness, the unit isn’t advertised as ADA accessible..,

  Our stay was amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The house was great. The house was so roomy and the elevator made the trip possible. It’s hard to find places that accommodate my son’s wheelchair. From the balcony, we watched seals, dolphins, an otter and even saw a whale on our last day. We can’t wait to go back next year.

  The house was very clean and ready for occupancy. My major complaint was numerous burned out light bulbs and no spares provided. This may seem trivial, but trying to find something in the pantry with no light is difficult. Some extra bath towels would be great. One per person is really not enough. The ground level bathroom has a moldy smell. As we come annually July 4th week, parking is extra difficult. Being able to park a car in the garage would be wonderful.
  The above problems are relatively minor. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year.

  Excellent place for 3 generations to share joy. From 82 year old to teenage boys we had fine place. Grammy needs the elevator and the 2nd floor deck is a great all day hang out. Everything clean and comfortable for all 6 of us.a great stroll in both directions on the beach.

  As trivial as it was, we really wanted a working porch light. Never got a new bulb. Other than seaside wear and tear, this home is a delight. Would suggest a king conversion kit for the 2 twin beds. As our family grows, we'd love to keep staying here.

  Such a great property. Cheshire was very accommodating to our needs. A few things to know..there are no screens on the sliders or windows. That makes a difference when you’d like to keep the windows open at night.... Bugs...and safety with children. Upstairs bedroom was infested with termites all along the floor by the slider. A few other minor things but Cheshire was quick to fix. Parking can be tricky. All in all...we would definitely stay again...beautiful inside and very clean

  Definitely enjoyed our stay on the beach. The children relished being able to walk out the sliding glass door and be on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with large pots and large serving dishes for cooking pasta and steaming clams for our party. The management company quickly responded to a minor problem. Easy access to the picnic area at nearby Seacliff State Beach. We enjoyed the redwoods at Nisene Marks and found good takeout food in the Aptos Village.

  My family has been coming to Aptos for many years. We look forward to it all year. The location of the houses on Beach Drive is fantastic. You step out the door, go down stone steps and you’re on the sand. The ocean is very close. We live in the valley and it’s always great to leave the valley and enjoy the cool beach weather. If one is inclined there are activities near by / hiking, fishing, visiting the Boardwalk, travel to the Monterey Aquarium, to name a few. There are excellent restaurants nearby with varied cuisines.

  AMAZING as usual. We have used Cheshire Rio for over 25 years and always been super pleased. House is perfect!! Knowing that all owners and property management love to hear how they can even improve for their guest... The patio is large and plenty of seating however 2 large umbrellas would help against the hot afternoon sun and since a garage is advertised it would be so nice to fit a small car inside. We tried.. Too much personal belongings which was very disappointing. Thank you so much.
